It’s the first full week of April but Kentucky is experiencing a setback with cold weather. I’m still wearing my winter clothes and looking forward to eventually wearing a few of my spring pieces. The weather appears to be impacting everyone as it’s been a long week. Needless to say, I am counting down the days until our vacation starts next Wednesday.
Come join me for some of my favorites this week.
I was so inspired by this post from StyleBluePrint. I don’t typically wear sneakers with jeans but I plan on doing so now.
What is your brand? Does it truly represent you? Kory encourages you to take a step back and review your blog. Did you make decisions based upon what was a popular opinion of others rather than those closest to you? I’m taking this post a bit further and encouraging you to think about your personal brand outside of your blog. Does the image you represent truly show who you are or are you following a trend?
Chrystie from Living for Naptime has written a post that includes many new blogging tools but several I did not know. This is well worth a read.
This moving piece touches on the subject of when one’s biological family creates distress. I wish I could tell you the number of clients I have worked with who could have written this piece. I’m sharing this because I know there are more individuals struggling with wanting their family to be “picture perfect”. As a society, we don’t openly talk about the difficulty but it exists more than anyone knows.
Do you know how caffeine is taken out of coffee beans? I so appreciate this post from Alexis at Chemistry Cachet. You may be surprised at the findings.
Are the areas of your life evenly distributed or do you find that your focus is upon only a few? Our lives are like a mobile where too much weight in one spot upsets the balance. Although each day changes the balance, there are ways to routinely practice self care and readjust.
Balance is not a static state and is something we must continuously adjust. This is a guest post I did for Holl and Lane’s Blog this week and I feel we all need a reminder.
Here’s to a great Weekend!!
