I mentioned in my Monday post Changes, that there are changes I am making in my life. Part of those changes include changing the format of my posting schedule, offering free informative downloads and that newsletter I promised. (Seriously, the last few months have tried to beat me up but that newsletter is coming.) Please make sure you sign up!
With that being said, I continue to love sharing my favorite things. This site is titled How To Make A Life and that includes discussing all things (large, small, free, moderately priced) that bring happiness. I continue to debate if this will happen weekly but please know it will continue.
I do hope you will follow along on this next journey and change in this space. Step outside your comfort zone with me and let’s see what might happen.
Here are a few of the things I am loving this week.
If you live in Kentucky, you want to make sure to follow Leigh and Tam. They are friends since middle school who wanted to have more fun in their lives. They are committed to “tasting” all of the beautiful things Kentucky has to offer. They are tasting food, sharing fashion, visiting and drinking bourbon distilleries and sharing all of the events. Even if you don’t live in Kentucky, I think you will want to follow them. I can’t wait to meet them in person. (I think they need a third friend.)
Ed Sheeran Carpool Karaoke
My regular readers know how much I love James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke. Ed Sheeran’s episode doesn’t disappoint.
Last week for our girl’s night out we headed to the Cut and Paste Craft Studio in Lexington. This class was for front door pineapples. Painting is a great way to destress and doing it while spending time with some of your best friends is even better. I love how we each did something different. They offer classes on a regular basis as well as painting independently. I plan on going back very soon.
Podcast of the Week
Are you a lover of self help and self improvement books? Jolenta and Kristen take books like The Secret and The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying and live exactly as the books say to live. They share with us in By The Book Podcast their experiences and thoughts and if any of these books are truly life changing.
This weekend is the inaugural BBQ fest in downtown Lexington. There is going to be more barbecue than one can imagine, drinks and music both Friday night and all day Saturday. Vendors will be selling all types of barbeque and drinks. You will find James and me there on Saturday!
Wishing you a fantastic weekend full of fun and love!
