Can you share how long you have been a blogger and the meaning behind your blog’s mane?
I’ve been blogging for about two years. As a “professional creative” (I’m a copywriter by day), I needed an outlet where I could do creative things for myself, the way I wanted to do them. So, Hello Neverland was born–the name is a reminder to embrace the possibilities all the time (Peter Pan was all about imagination and making the impossible possible). Too often, fear gets in the way of our creating–whether we’re making a scrapbook or creating a business. At Hello Neverland, there’s no place for fear!
How does your work differ from others?
I’m not about fluff. I try to inject everything I write with something that’s useful or valuable to my readers.
What three words describe you? What three words describe your blog? Do you feel your blog displays your personality?
Creativity, entrepreneurship, resources.
What three posts do you feel a first time reader should read?
What does your creative process look like? Has it changed since the birth of your daughter?
It’s not really that uniform. I do a lot of mind mapping, writing half drafts, and the like. Since Little Rabbit’s been around, it’s even more scattered–do whatever you can when you can kindof thing. I think it’s more important to just keep going, though, than to beat myself up over not having a set process or schedule.
If you could do anything and be successful, what would it be?
I’d open a photography business. I consider myself an amateur, but I really love taking photos of my family and my friends’ families. Being able to capture those memories for other people would be a dream.
