Happy Friday Everyone! I’m so happy to report that the college semester is over, finals and site visits complete and grades submitted. April was truly a busy and eventful month (news to come on that) but I’m also glad for a little down time. However, I’m finding my down time is becoming scheduled with all that I haven’t been able to do. Nonetheless, I’m grateful to be busy and healthy.
Here’s a few things I am (and have been) loving over the past few weeks.
I LOVE Target and I love dresses during the summer. Of course, the price of $15 caught my eye as I walked by this dress it last weekend. It can be dressed up with a sweater and dress shoes for work and easily transitions to sandals for the weekend. You will want to buy it in multiple colors. My local Target stores had a few different colors than are offered online and I find that it runs a little small (which is always good for your ego).
All of my friends know that I am a summer girl and summer has come early to Kentucky. Temperatures have been in the 80’s with beautiful sunny days. I could truly live with weather like this every day of the year. I was meant to be an island girl.
I am not a royal watcher but I do love Prince William and Princess Kate. I was so happy when the news came that Princess Charlotte had been born. It will be so much fun watching what she will be wearing (just as it is fun to see what her Mother is wearing).
Maddie and Tae – Fly
Are you needing a new inspirational song to listen to? I initially heard this song a few months ago on one of my satellite radio stations but wasn’t able to find it on itunes when I got home that night. The words are powerful and inspirational regardless of what you are going through in life. Whatever you are dealing with, keep climbing – you can do it!
“Keep on climbing though the ground might shake, Keep on reaching though the limb might break. We’ve come this far, don’t you be scared now. You can learn to fly on the way down. “
Happy Mother’s Day
As I shared yesterday, Mother’s Day is a day that comes with a multitude of emotions for many people. If you are a mother, I wish you a wonderful Mother’s Day with your children. If you are lucky enough to still have your Mother, I hope you are able to take some time to show her appreciation whether it be with a visit or phone call. If you are grieving the loss of your mother or struggling with a miscarriage, infertility or the death of your child, I pray that you will be good to yourself this weekend and hope that you can feel peace through the painful emotions. Finally, if you are someone who has had a difficult relationship or is unable to have a relationship with your Mother, I encourage you to look at your life and acknowledge a woman who may have stepped into the role of Mother and provided motherly love.
Wishing You a Wonderful Sunny Weekend!
