Here we are with Friday again! If you are like me, it is hard to comprehend that it is September. Is it throwing anyone else off with Labor Day being on the 7th? I shouldn’t complain as it’s given me an extra week of “summer”. As it is the Labor Day Holiday, I’m hoping you will take some time to simply rest and be. Many of us simply don’t stop and slowing down is so important.
As we prepare for a little rest, here’s what I am loving this week.
Boys of Fall
Last weekend I participated in my very first Fantasy Football Draft. I might have been just a little competitive. Supposedly I have a pretty good draft. College football officially starts this weekend and although I have become a fan of the NFL, there is absolutely nothing like the atmosphere of college football. James has gone to bed on Saturday nights and left me watching many college matchups.
Football (like most sports) can teach us a lot about life. I think this video says it best!
Fall Swag Swap
As I continue to find ways to enjoy the Fall Season, I’m cosponsoring this great Fall Swag Swap. This is an opportunity to link up with someone, get to know them and send fall related items. We’ve set a spending limit of $15-$20 dollars. Sign ups end on September 15. Deadline to mail packages in October 1 and there will be a reveal on October 15. We would love to have a larger group. If you are interested, sign up here.
The Gratitude Diaries
I regularly share the significance of gratitude in my life and how it has changed me. Janice Kaplan made it a point to spend a year of her life focusing upon gratitudes each day. She shares in her book how her life was truly changed. If you sometimes wonder about the power of gratitude and if it is real, this book will help you see that it is.
Speaking of gratitude. It’s only two more weekends until our Girls Weekend or what I am calling our friendcation. We are staying in a cabin at Oak Haven Resort in Sevierville Tennessee (one of my favorite places). Some of us have been known to shut down a few restaurants together so it will be nice to stay up late and not upset waiters and waitresses wanting to go home.
I’ve been meaning to share how much I love Peter Thomas Roth’s Firmx Instant Eye Lift for awhile. If you are looking for something to tighten the under eye skin and smooth wrinkles- this is the product to try. The only downfall is realizing you only need a tiny amount to see huge results. If you put on too much, you end up looking cakey. Well worth the money.
