Happy Friday Everyone! I’m hoping your week has been good and that you have plans for a relaxing and fun weekend. Remember that regardless of how hectic and crazy your life may be, there is always something to be grateful for and something to love. Without further ado, here are my Friday loves for this week!.
Mocha Coconut Frappuccino
Starbucks has combined two of my favorite things in life – mocha and coconut. I rarely have frappuccinos but I’ve had two since I discovered it was back (for a limited time). I have mine without soy milk and no whip so I feel somewhat healthy! I was told this will last as long as the syrup exists in each store. Also, treat receipt continues next week for Starbucks card holders.
Peach and Blueberry Crisp
I didn’t know what I was was going to do with the Georgia Peaches I purchased at the Farmer’s Market last week but I knew I had to have them. Fortunately I found a gluten free Peach and Blueberry Crisp that had James saying “Wow.” from the first bite. I have a recipe and post to follow next week.
Now that I’ve shared what I’ve been eating, it’s time to share how I’ve been getting it all off. If you haven’t heard of PiYo, it’s a fantastic workout that utilizes your body weight and is a combination of pilates and yoga. You will be surprised at how quickly you begin to see and feel the results. I’ve recently restarted the two month program and love it!
This week I was attempting to do some coding I had never done before and it simply wasn’t working. I am so grateful to my friend Emily of Authentically Emmie – who is a personal friend here in Lexington and Anne from Love the Here and Now. The truth is I am one of those people who hates asking for help but there are times when you simply have to. Many thanks to Emily who walked me through with her own tutorial and Anne for always responding to my questions. Both of these ladies are wonderful individuals and have fantastic blogs. If you don’t already know them, take some time today to visit and show them some love.
Mission to Smile
I want to end this post with a story that made me cry and smile. Jaden is a 6 year old boy who has lost both his mother and father but shared with his aunt he felt there was too much sadness in the world. He has made it his mission to go up to those who aren’t smiling and offer a small gift and shares that “It’s to make you smile.” This is a brief video but so worth the view (and to hear his precious Georgia accent).
Wishing you a happy and relaxing weekend!
