I shared on Monday how I love starting a new month as they mean new beginnings and are a perfect time to start changes.I feel like I’ve been taking things slow but I’ve actually been busy this week with driving to trainings, getting up for 6:00 am physical therapy (a blog post is coming) and basically attempting to set new goals. I’ve been taking things slow this week from a reading perspective, although I’ve been online, I’ve not read much (so that means I’ve done mindless social media). Here’s to becoming more productive this weekend and a few of the things I wanted to share for Friday Favorites.
I don’t deny my love for Starbucks and occasionally do try to order off of my norm. It’s hard to break out of a habit but this article gave me some ideas of new drinks to try. If you haven’t tried Starbucks new Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato – make sure you do. Most of the Starbucks in our area are running out of coconut milk due to the popularity.
Our annual girls weekend/friendcation is next month and although we have established Oak Haven as our go to place, it is nice to get ideas of other places in the south. I’m thinking Chattanooga, the Highlands NC or Georgia need to be considerations.
We each want to be successful but often struggle with day to day routines. I shared this article from Inc. on twitter (follow me @how2makealife) and I believe that each of these are suggestions everyone can put to use. I truly do want to be one of those individuals who gets an insanely amount accomplished.
Although I tried to eat healthy during July (there was that birthday), James and I are back to healthy and clean eating. Having Hello Fresh delivered truly helps us with food portions, menu planning and shopping. My favorite this week was the pistachio crusted chicken with cucumber jalapeno quinoa (it had just enough kick). If you still haven’t tried a food delivery service, use code TYJHR5 for a $40 discount on your first box.
Matthew McConnaughey and Wild Turkey Bourbon
This video has been on my social media feed from everyone. Wild Turkey Bourbon has scored Matthew McConaughey as a Creative Director who will create media slots. Wild Turkey is a beautiful distillery and this video shows some of the beauty (and you get to look at Matthew too).
Music of the Week
I’m a huge Pink and Kenny Chesney (I love most all music). Many people questioned a duet between the two but I absolutely love the way their voices sound together on Setting The World On Fire. There isn’t a video (would love to see one) but you can listen below.
Wishing you a great weekend!!!
