Happy Friday Friends! It’s been a busy week and each weekend is becoming filled with plans. I love having a full schedule but this equally reminds me of the need to relax. As we move into summer, don’t forget to schedule down time.
Here’s a short run down of a few of my favorites (and gratitudes) of the week.
The Summit at Fritz Farm
The Summit at Fritz Farm is Lexington’s newest upscale mixed retail space. It is a fantastic mixture of restaurants, luxury apartments, boutiques and national chains. The official opening with many of the stores was a few weeks ago and over the summer many additional stores will be opening. Reese Witherspoon is rumored to be attending the official opening of her third Draper James store.
We’ve been fortunate enough to attend a few soft openings of restaurants and I’m being very good in regards to my shopping. I absolutely love the feel of the area and it feels like something one would find in a larger city.
Here’s a few of my favorites from my recent trips.
The Kendra Scott store opened this past Monday and will be having the grand opening this weekend. I’m openly acknowledging my Kendra Scott addiction and somehow I managed to make it through the store without a purchase. I’m certain I need the blue necklace above.
Honestly, I had never heard of Shake Shack but now I think I’m in love. I loved the hamburger but the the chicken sandwich is even better. Here in Kentucky you will find a Bourbon Caramel Milkshake.
Reads of the Week
I have to continuously watch my thyroid levels which have a tendency to change. Unfortunately, this impacts my workouts. This article is great for anyone who is struggling with establishing a workout routine and also listening to your body.
How many of us actually take time to eat and relax during lunch? Hopefully this post will help you slow down for lunch today.
This is a holiday that can create a multitude of emotions for many. Take this day to be grateful for the presence of your Mother or for that someone who filled that role (for many that would be a Dad). Please know I am saying a prayer for anyone who may be experiencing grief from the loss of a Mother, baby or infertility.
This week I revamped a popular post regarding the feeling of being motherless after the death of a mother. Please share with anyone you know that may need it. (This is the last time my Mom was able to hold my hand)
Wishing you a beautiful weekend!
