If only every week was a short work week! Friday comes so much sooner.
In addition to begin grateful for a short work week, there’s several favorite things I want to share with everyone.
Essie Gel Couture
I love Essie Nail Polish (my go to color is Jazz) and I wasn’t sure they could improve. However, after trying the new Gel Couture line, I can say they have. The new line is a two step process by using the polish color and the top coat. Claims are the polish will stay on for two weeks and I have to say after a week I am impressed. There are no chips or peeling. There are 42 new colors and I chose the color Make The Cut. This post reviews all of the colors and is a great place to start. The price point is higher than the regular polish but I believe is worth it.
Are you someone who believes your inner voice will lead you in the right direction? It can be easy to become so busy that you aren’t able to listen to the inner voice. The Inner Pilot Light is a fantastic brief email that is sent to you each day reminding you to slow down and listen. I’ve been receiving it for about a week and it has made me slow down each day I opened it.
Maria Shriver has a wonderful website full of inspiration and interviews with individuals who are making a difference. Each Sunday she sends a weekly email summarizing the week and I’ve been extremely motivated. Certainly something to consider.
Song of the Week – Me Too
Meghan Trainor’s Me Too simply stays with you. Wouldn’t it be nice if we all thought about ourselves in this way? Be proud of who you are!
Blog Post of the Week
Love Yourself But Not Too Much – This post from Girls Gone Strong goes along with the video above. Why aren’t we as women allowed to love ourselves? There is such a struggle in regards to being confident – but not too confident. I have hopes that someday this will not be a topic.
What You Missed From Me:
Fiesta Quinoa Salad – this is one of my all time favorite recipes. It’s healthy, gluten free and great to make in advance.
Here’s to a great July weekend!
