Last week on Instagram (find me @howtomakealife), I shared a photo of the Fall 2016 FabFitFun box and a number of people contacted me wanting to know more.
I have received the quarterly FabFitFun box since 2014 and have honestly loved every one. As I was afraid readers were getting tired of another box review, I had not planned on sharing the specifics of the FallFabFit Fun box but the interest I received helped me to realize that even if one isn’t interested in purchasing their own box, it is always fun to look at what others have received.
For those not aware of the Fab Fit Fun Box, it is a quarterly box focusing upon health, beauty, fashion and fun. For $49.99 the typical value of a box is always over $200 and often much more. Items are always full size and I have always felt the products were worth the price. Boxes have a seasonal theme and typically arrive in March, June, September and December.
In addition to receiving the quarterly box, members are often able to include add ons from past boxes and have the choice of choosing items in a certain color or style.
The Fall 2016 FabFitFun Box did not disappoint and included the following:
FabFitFun Coloring Book and Colored Pencils $14
Coloring is one of the most therapeutic activities possible. This fun coloring book is centered around the fall nature themes and I love the feel of colored pencils. Let’s just say I have enjoyed it.
Modcloth Och and Key Blanket Scarf $34.99
The minute I gave a friend a blanket scarf for Christmas last year, I wished I had kept it for myself. Thanks to FabFitFun, I have my own. I received the black and white which is perfect for this girl who has a mostly black and white wardrobe.
The Created Co. To-Go Coffee Mug $19
Everyone needs a coffee mug with a positive affirmation.
Mullein and Sparrow Mini French Lavender Body Oil $18
Lavender is a calming scent and this body oil not only provides moisture but also aromatherapy.
The Browgal Clear, Water Resistant Everybrow Gel $20
I have not utilized this yet but the claim is this gel will seal and keep your brow pencil. It would be nice to have the brows in tact through a workout!
Spongelle Bulgarian Rose Body Wash Infused Buffer $18
Just let me say that the smell from this is heavenly This buffer exfoliates and cleanses at the same time. After the soap is gone from the sponge, it can be used as a regular sponge.
Pure Cosmetics Nude Collection Eyeshadow Palette $ 50
There have been many comparisons of this palette to Urban Decay’s Naked Palette and I have to say I agree. I have used a few colors and do feel like they stay on longer than the Naked palette but I feel like this is a personal preference.
Toesox Toeless Fitness Socks $18
These are great socks for yoga, barre or pilates. I often work out at home in bare feet and plan on using these to help stay on the mat. There was also a great tip that these could be worn to get a pedicure and keep your feet warm – something I might consider this winter.
Skin Laundry Restoring Night Serum $50
FabFitFun has introduced me to many wonderful skin products. I feel like this is going to be another one that I end up purchasing after this bottle is finished.
Total retail value of the Fall FabFitFun Box is $239.99.
Currently, FabFitFun, is the only subscription box I continue to receive. In the past, I have received Ipsy and Birchbox but I soon grew tired of them as the sizes were often sample sizes. Additionally, I often received things I would never use. FabFitFun is a box that always provides me with items I utilize. It is fun to look forward to the box showing up on my doorstep.
If you are interested in trying FabFitFun for yourself (and you know you are), you can receive $15 off by using my code.
