It’s hard to believe we are approaching the final weekend of summer.
As we prepare for Fall, it is a wonderful time to take a few minutes to remember all of the wonderful things that have happened over the past few months.
Here are a few of my favorite things this summer.
James came in first in his class at a 5K in June!
The Summit At Fritz Farm in Lexington has had a regular opening of fantastic restaurants. We’ve had a date night at our new Whole Foods (which has it’s own bar and patio), joined friends for a soft opening of Honeywood and ate twice in one week at Corelife Eatery (photo of Tuna Poke grain bowl below).
We’ve spent the summer exploring our state and city with regular hikes.
This has been the first year we have done a variety of festivals. I initially didn’t want to go to the WellCrafted Music and Beer festival at Shaker Village but ended up having a fantastic day. Of course there was also the First Tequila Fest in Cincinnati which will likely become a tradition.
Finally, this summer I have begun to post regular Facebook Live posts with a weekly gratitude post on Sunday and Try This at Home Tips. I would so appreciate if you would follow along with me and like my page.
This weekend Kentucky will be receiving effects of Hurricane Harvey. I am going to spend the time preparing for Fall. Please realize that the victims of this Hurricane will continue to need help. Brene Brown shared a wonderful video stating that a need that is not often thought of is for underwear. I’m continuing to pray for Texas and watching what is needed.
Wishing you a wonderful and safe weekend.
