Friday Loves

Happy Friday!!

I had forgotten how much I enjoyed creating a weekly list of things I love. List making is a wonderful journal technique and my hope is to continue this each week. Here are my Friday Loves of the week!

Essie’s Petal Pusher

I’ve loved Essie nail polish before it became uber popular. The Spring 2015 Collection is out and I polished my nails with Petal Pusher on Monday. It’s a great neutral Spring color with a hint of lavender. I purchased mine at Target but I also noticed they were quickly selling out of the spring colors. Check out their new colors.

Justin’s Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

This is my current addiction that I walk away from. Organic and gluten free, this makes a perfect sweet snack. I love all of Justin’s products and recently discovered their great recipes for everything from a hazelnut smoothie to Almond Butter Pasta Salad.

Thrive

Thrive

As many of you may know, Thrive is my word of the year. I feel that because of that when I saw the advertisement for Thrive, a new 6 week course by Arianna Huffington who has partnered with Oprah, it was meant to be. The course goes along with Arianna’s book of the same name.  Included in the course are weekly video courses, guest speakers, online community along with multiple ways to track your success. If you are considering making changes in your life, consider this course.

Gratitude

I regularly share the power of gratitude on this site and when I realized that Huffington Post was establishing a new section dedicated specifically to gratitude, I had to make sure everyone knew.  Practicing gratitude daily has been shown to improve mood and change lives. I personally love that there is a site focusing upon this topic and bringing it more to the forefront. Make this a page you visit often.

Viral Story of the Week

I’m hoping you have heard about this wonderful story out of my home state. Asia Ford has lost over 200 pounds and last week she competed in the Rodes City 10 K in Louisville, Kentucky. When she began to struggle with pain at her fourth mile, Police Lt. Aubrey Gregory asked if she wanted to stop. She desired to finish the race and the officer supported her by finishing the course arm in arm.  Although she finished last, Asia received a winner’s reception at the finish line.

This is an inspiring story of supporting someone who is attempting to reach her dream. We each need to remember that we can reach our goals and dreams. Equally, it is important to support those we care about. My friend Emily has written a wonderful post about the power of people showing up and what it means to be on the receiving in and is another extra you should check out.

Take some time to practice gratitude for the week that is passing and have a great weekend!

I really love all of the Justin’s products. I’m afraid I’m going to need to put myself on a budget in buying these!
