That’s right – I said fail.
We live in a society that is so focused upon being successful and succeeding that failure is “the other F word.” We are taught that failure is bad and should be avoided. However we need failure in order to find eventual success. We often stress so much in regards to being perfect that we are unable to learn anything from the process.
I admit that failing hurts. It’s embarrassing and no one likes to talk about it.
Some research has begun to show that expertise can actually be a hindrance to innovation and seeing things differently. Failure allows us to see what didn’t work if we are willing to step back and reevaluate the situation. Think about the last diet you tried or Pinterest project which didn’t come out like you planned.
For me, this experience has helped me to step back and evaluate my blogging routine. I plan to make a few changes. I am not perfect and I’m going to embrace my mistakes.
Hoping you can see your own mistakes as fantastic learning experiences.
