On Monday I discussed the benefit of journal writing and today I am linking up with Shannon at Smile and Write for her Write Yourself Happy Link up. If you remember I shared that research shows consistent journal writing has shown to improve your mood (and help make you happy).
For many, the starting process of what to place in a journal can be the most difficult. Each Thursday Shannon will provide a prompt for you to consider and write about.
Use this prompt in your personal journal, link up with Shannon or even send me an e-mail with your thoughts. Remember that there is no right or wrong way to journal – what is important is that you simply write.
Today’s prompt is:
Write a list of attributes about yourself you are proud of or ones you want to see more of in your daily life. Write about it, pray about it and believe it until it makes you smile. You can write it, draw it, paint it, make a collage, or paint a mural.
Thinking of positive attributes isn’t always the first thing we do. For myself, one thing I like is that I am loyal. If one is in my circle, I have the habit of being fierce and protective – I’m the Lioness and no one hurts my cubs. Of course, I’ve also been told to tone down my protectiveness at times (not an easy feat). I’m proud of my Leo traits!
Take a few minutes to think about your own attributes. Also, as a way of celebrating her blog redesign, many of us have joined with my friend Aimee of Click.Pray.Create in a giveaway. Make sure you sign up below and stop by her new site (she has freebies each day this week).
