I’m attaching a video segment that was played on Good Morning America this morning. It tells the story of New Orleans Saint football player Steve Gleason and his journey with ALS. When he was first diagnosed, one of the things he was told was to “Be Prepared to Die”.
Patients with ALS know that their body will slowly begin to shut down but Steve did not want to live in this manner and chose to make his motto about living and being prepared to have the best day that he could every day.
What would any of us do if we knew we had a terminal illness that would take our life in a short amount of time?
Please take a few minutes and watch his story from this link.
Have a Great Monday!
